She has served as Deputy Registrar of the Medicines Control Council (MCC) and participated in the establishment of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) which replaced the former as the regulator. She has also served as the chairman of SAMED and as president of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA).
She is an Honorary Life Member of the PSSA and the South African Pharmaceutical Students Federation, and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA). She serves on several boards including being the current chairman of the Professional Provident Society Holdings Trust (PPS) board.
She is currently the Managing Director of the family-owned medical device company distributing advanced wound and stoma care products.
She is married with two sons. She is also a keen golfer, but do not ask her what her handicap is.
