Long COVID: how informed and concerned are you?

“Long COVID” is a reality. Globally, one in five patients diagnosed with COVID-19 has multi-systemic disease with various symptoms lasting for five weeks or longer. Many people are unable to resume full-time work six months after disease onset. This is adversely affecting health systems, people’s livelihoods and the economy. Join Prof Chetty in discussing the implications and solutions to manage this challenge within your business.

Vaccine rollout: Quality medtech for mission critical

The physical harm, wasteful expenditure and loss of public trust caused by the corruption in the procurement of PPE provides invaluable lessons which we must apply to the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and to the procurement of all health products into the future. The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) is leading the effort to manage and control the import and manufacture of ancillary devices so that only products that meet SAHPRA specifications and which are procured from licensed establishments are used in the COVID-19 vaccine effort. Your voice counts in this mission that we cannot allow to fail.
