SAMED commends its members for the impact they are making on the lives of South African youth
Through the SAMED x YES Partnership, we have created hundreds of pathways for young South Africans to enter and grow within the Medtech industry. The initiative offers 12-month work placements, hands-on experience, mentorship and real exposure to the world of medical technology. Many interns have gone on to build meaningful careers, transforming lives, and building the local skills base that our industry needs. By investing in youth talent, SAMED x YES helps to fortify the backbone of the South African Medtech industry. We’re not only creating jobs, we’re nurturing the next generation of designers, manufacturers, regulators, technicians and leaders. These young professionals will contribute to a Medtech sector that is competitive, locally capacitated, and ready to respond to national health needs.
