Duncan Mackay is an accomplished business leader with extensive executive experience across the African healthcare and medical technology sectors. Currently serving as General Manager Africa at Becton Dickinson, he leads regional growth strategy, commercial operations, stakeholder engagement, and transformational initiatives across the continent.
Duncan has held several senior leadership positions at Roche, including Acting General Manager and Head of Management Centre for Sub-Saharan Africa, where he played a key role in advancing strategic healthcare partnerships and large-scale public health initiatives across Africa. With expertise spanning finance, operations, strategic accounts, commercial excellence, and healthcare transformation, he is passionate about advancing equitable access to healthcare through innovation, strategic partnerships, and sustainable business solutions.
Duncan also serves on the executive board of Southern African Laboratory and Diagnostics Association and contributes to the SAMED National Health Insurance Committee.
