The Council for Medical Schemes (CMS) has been working to ensure universal access to the Covid-19 vaccine. As such, the Covid-19 vaccine has been included as a Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) in the recently updated regulations.
This amendment of PMBs under “Respiratory System” Treatment now states, the “screening, clinically approved diagnostic tests, vaccination, medication, medical management including hospitalisation and treatment of complication, and rehabilitation of Covid-19″.
