South Africa’s youth unemployment crisis remains urgent. Recent data from Statistics South Africa shows 43.8% of young people aged 15–34 are unemployed, with 5.8 million youth currently without work.
Aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SAMED is convening industry leaders to explore how the MedTech sector can help unlock sustainable employment pathways for South Africa’s youth.
