SAMED Member, Patient Medical Care, is the latest of 32 SAMED members who have signed up with the Youth Employment Services (YES). The total number of youth jobs created by the 32 participants is 1,434. This means 1,434 young South Africans have received exposure to the healthcare or medtech sector; 1,434 youth that can build capacity for the sector. For the members, it translates into 38 levels-ups with several other participants still completing their programmes or awaiting the outcome of B-BBEE audits. The YES programme not only boosts participating members’ B-BBEE scorecards by up to two levels up, but it also has a huge impact on the lives of the participating youth.
